Autodesk Fusion 360's cloud-based collaboration features make project sharing and review easier than ever before. This course guides you through how to manage personal and team hubs, calendars, and more to best manage your project’s design process and assets. Additionally, we will describe and apply Fusion's project administration features, including managing project files, project archiving, Fusion Personal, and Team hubs.
In under an hour, this course walks you through Fusion 360’s collaboration and administration features through a series of lectures and hands-on exercises. Understanding these features will help you get the most out of Fusion 360 as you create and share your designs with peers and colleagues.
This course is designed for beginning to intermediate students who are new to CAD, or those who are familiar with CAD products such as Tinkercad and Solidworks, but are new to Fusion 360.
After completing this course, students will:
  • Describe and apply Fusion project administration features, including managing project files, and Fusion Personal and Team hubs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Fusion 360’s collaboration features for sharing, calendar scheduling, and discussion.
  • Utilize Fusion 360’s administration features for project archiving.
  • Review the differences between a Personal Hub and a Team Hub.
  • Use A360 to select and manage hubs.
  • Take part in challenge assignments to put the skills you learn into practice.
Contents and Overview
This course consists of nine lessons that include lectures and hands-on exercises introducing Fusion 360’s cloud-based features for collaboration and administration. Each lesson includes comprehensive lecture presentations and project exercises that include step-by-step video instruction, as well as checkpoint quizzes, and a final course assessment.
The Fusion 360: CAD Administration and Collaboration course starts with lectures that introduce Fusion 360, a cloud-based CAD/CAM tool for collaborative product development that combines industrial design, mechanical engineering, and machining into one software solution. Fusion 360’s cloud-based features make project sharing and review easy and efficient, allowing for a more collaborative design process.
Next, you’re introduced to Fusion 360’s data storage and administrative roles to manage and edit your data. After exploring data storage, you will also learn about Fusion 360’s calendar, discussion board, and wiki pages that make collaboration and communication during the design process fast and simple. Finally, you will learn how to download and archive Fusion 360 files and projects for file management.
After you’ve completed the series of lectures, you can take part in three challenge assignments that put the skills you’ve learned into practice. Upon completing this course, you will have obtained knowledge and skills in Fusion 360 CAD/CAM to best manage your project’s design process and assets.
